Tech Specs

Open Fire Gold was made in five months with the Unity Game Engine (Wikipedia Page). It was designed to be played in the browser with the Unity Web Player browser plugin.

It features no AI, the tanks are just rigidbodies moving along their local z-axis and are destroyed when they go offscreen or are blown up.

Unlike it's predecessor, Open Fire, Open Fire Gold uses a terrain engine, and Unity 2.x's GUI features. It also includes land mines, which are detonated when a tank gets within a specified distance

Open Fire Gold features music that was inspired by Halo, and a re-mixed version of the original in-game song in Open Fire.
